BACKGROUND
Located on Tilton Hill in Pittsfield, NH, Pittsfield Youth Athletic Park (PYAP) has been providing the town's youth baseball and softball players with playing fields for many years. PYAP has recently undergone a major renovation that includes a home field with 90-foot base paths and updated facilities.
HISTORY OF PARK AND RENOVATION PROJECT
| Early 1980's | Land donated by William Freese |
| 1981 | Pittsfield Youth Baseball Association (PYBA) founded and then incorporated the following year |
| 2002 | Deeded to PYBA by the Freese family and the grounds of PYBA were officially dedicated as Pittsfield Youth Athletic Park |
| 2003 | PYBA purchased an adjacent piece of property so that a regulation size Babe Ruth Field with 90-foot base paths could be constructed for use by 13-16 year olds |
| August 2007 | Renovation committee formed and engineering plans developed |
| 2008 | Construction began and the three old fields were reconstructed |
| 2009 | Renovated dugouts, old fields seeded, and work on new field |
| 2010 | Teams returned to play on 3 lower fields, stone walls completed, scoreboard installed, and new field seeded |
