The South Pittsfield Community Club (SPCC) was organized in 1925 to further the welfare of the community located around the Dowboro School and Dowboro House, located just up the street from the school which contained a store and a post office. The club helped neighbors in times of need and hosted various social activities. Since 1939 the SPCC has held it's activities in the old Dowboro School. The school closed in 1931. In 1939 Joseph Marston purchased the building and donated it to the South Pittsfield Community Club. Today, we try to continue the tradition of helping our neighbors, contributing to local charities and maintaining the the school house. In order to maintain and care for the building, the SPCC organizes "All You Can Eat" Ham and Bean Suppers throughout the early Summer along with a Turkey Supper in the Fall. Like everything else, these expenses keep rising faster than the funds are coming in. Our main fundraising activity is our suppers. Where else can you go for a nominal fee and get to enjoy homemade beans, brown bread and potato salad along with ham and beverages? And, oh yes, let's not forget the homemade pies!

We are located at 444 Dowboro Rd in Pittsfield, NH. The SPCC holds approximately 4 to 5 Ham and Bean Suppers annually. The dates for the entire summer are listed here in the Spring of each year below.

The Ham and Bean Suppers are on scheduled Saturday evenings (see below) from 5:00pm to 6:30pm. The suppers take place at the South Pittsfield Community Center on 444 Dowboro Rd. At the intersection of Dowboro Rd. and Webster Mills Rd. in Pittsfield, NH.
