Here’s the news for

handcrafted Victorian Doll House is being raffled off at the
Clothes Closet. This project was started by a craftsperson
and donated to the Clothes Closet - please stop in and
purchase some tickets.
The Pittsfield Food Pantry
will again participate in the annual Feinstein Foundation
One Million Dollar Give Away to food pantries across the
nation. The appeal is from March 1 through April 30 and is
for both monetary and food donations. Each item that comes
into the pantry is counted and the grant amount is based on
the number of items collected. Please donate!
Pittsfield Youth Baseball/Softball is raffling four (4)
front-row seats to a Red Sox vs.Yankees game. Tickets are
available at Bell Brothers (1 Depot St., Pittsfield) and are
$5 each or five (5) for $20. All proceeds support quality
baseball and softball experiences for the boys and girls of
Pittsfield. The game is Saturday, August 2nd at 4:05. The
Drawing is June 26th.
The Pittsfield Players will be
hosting a play reading at the Scenic Theatre of Alan
Ayckbourn's "Living Together."
The play reading is a
casual reading of the script that takes place upstairs at
the Scenic Theatre on Sunday, April 27 at 6:30 PM. Any one
who is interested in reading this play in an informal
setting is welcome to join us at the Scenic on April 27 at
6:30 upstairs in the green room. You are welcome to bring a
snack and are no way obligated to perform or audition after
the reading. Auditions for "Living Together" will be held
May 18 and 19 at the Scenic Theatre. You need not be a
member of the Pittsfield Players and we encourage you all to
attend whether you are a seasoned veteran or have never done
theatre before. You are also welcome to come and listen. If

Foss Family Scholorship applicaions are
available. All PMHS graduates extending their education
beyond high school may apply for a scholarship to pursue a
two-year or four-year degree or technical/trade school

Valley Area Lions Club (serving Pittsfield/Barnstead) is
requesting donations of gently used items for their
yardsale. Please contact Ed Vien at 731-9321 to arrange for
drop off/pick up.
The Town Clerk’s Office is now
processing boat registrations.
The Greater Pittsfield
Chamber of Commerce will be holding a Multitown Yard Sale
this year and any address in their seven member towns is
welcome to join in. Participants can register by mail by
sending in the registration form (visit the Chamber website
www.pittsfieldchamber.org) or by using the registration form
in the Suncook Valley Sun. Please mail to be received by May
24th latest. Early registrations appreciated! Registration
fees are $5 for individuals, $10 for Group locations, and no
fee for non-profits raising funds. Mail to Multitown

Reminder that dogs must be licensed by May 1. Information is
available at the town hall.
The Josiah Book Worms
Teen Book Discussion group meets on the first Thursday of
each month (May 1) at the library from 7-8:30pm.
students will be joining The Safe Kids 500 on Wed, April 30
from 5:30-7:30pm at the NHMS (Loudon Speedway). Bikes will
be checked for safety and helmets will be inspected and
fitted. Kids will learn safety tips and have a chance to
ride on the mile race track. If you need assistance in
getting your child's bike to the NHMS, please contact Mike
Curtin at 435-8432.
Footwork Fridays for PES Students
will resume on Friday, May 2. Meet at Family Dollar for a
brisk walk to school. Students can begin being dropped off
Carole Richardson has announced that
because of your generous donations, phase one of the Floral
Park Cemetery Fence Fund has been met. Fencing will begin to
be installed and phase one will be complete by Memorial Day.
Donations for the “Floral Park Cemetery Fence Fund” are

Crimewatch will meet on Tuesday, April 29 at 6:30pm at
