In November, the Pittsfield
Economic Development Committee presented a look at
Pittsfield’s economy over the years. The presentation
considered the historic origins of the economy in
manufacturing, farming and other industries as well as
today’s economic makeup. The presentation also explored
what opportunities exist for Pittsfield to expand its
economy and tap into opportunities beyond our borders.
Lastly, it discussed the assets in town that make
Pittsfield an attractive destination to develop or
expand a business. The Economic Development Committee
would love to share the presentation with your
organization as well. Please see an overview of the
presentation below, and, for more information regarding
scheduling a presentation please contact Pittsfield Town
Administrator, Paul Skowron, at 435-6773.
Pittsfield Economy Presentation
things are happening in Pittsfield. The Economic
Development Committee is busy with several on-going
projects that are certain to give a big boost to our
town’s economy. In the coming weeks you’ll see
some new signs on Route 28 pointing travelers in the
direction of our great downtown eateries. This summer,
PlanNH will spend the weekend in our town helping us to
create a great new plan for redevelopment of our
downtown. Soon you’ll hear about our ideas to
create a business incubator for start-up companies!
Also, congrats to Rustic Crust, Podmore and New England
Mechanical Overlay – all three are expanding their
operations in Pittsfield and hiring new workers!
Exciting things are happening here…
