Welfare Department Pittsfield NH


The Pittsfield Welfare Department is located in the Pittsfield Town Office Building located at 85 Main Street.

 

Beginning May 16 the welfare office schedule will be:
Tuesday 8 - 4:30

Friday 8 - 4:30
or special appointment as needed.

Applications are available in the lobby during Town Hall business hours. They are in the Pink Folder.

General Assistance Guidelines

 

The Pittsfield Food Pantry:

 

The Food Pantry is available to anyone who needs food for themselves or their family. Please call 603-435-6773 to arrange for pick-up of food items during the times listed below.

Hours: Monday: 11am - 2pm & 4pm - 7pm.

Thursday: 11am - 2pm.

Want to Help?

The Pittsfield Food Pantry welcomes volunteers that would like to lend a hand in the food pantry or donations of any type or size including cash donations to help people right here in our community. We are a 501(c)(3) non profit organization, so all funds are tax deductible. Food donations that can be valued are also tax deductible. Even a single item donation can help a family in need.

 

List of commonly needed items:

  • Chicken (of any kind)

  • Hamburger

  • Fruits and Vegetables

  • Canned Broths (Chicken and Beef)

  • Toilet Paper

  • Tooth Brushes

  • Tooth Paste

  • Soap / Shampoo

  • Canned Foods

  • Dry Milk

  • Snack Items for Children
