Volunteer at the Pittsfield Fire Department!

Watching your neighbors home on fire or not knowing what to do during a medical emergency can be a helpless feeling. Help your neighbor - and yourself - by becoming a volunteer member of the Pittsfield Fire Department!

To be a member of our team, you’ll need initiative, courage and dedication, in addition to having a willingness to learn new skills and possessing the ability to face challenges.

The Pittsfield Fire Department provides the necessary training, gear and equipment. The skills you learn will last a lifetime by benefiting you, your family, and community.

Nationwide, the number of volunteer firefighters and EMTs has been steadily declining and we can see its effect at the local level. A lack of volunteers means a greater risk to our community because of longer response time and fewer people available to do the tasks involved in firefighting and other emergency response services. Communities served by volunteer firefighters depend on them to be their first line of defense for many types of emergencies. What if no one answered the call? We need volunteer members to help us help our community.

If you would like to learn more about volunteer opportunities at the Pittsfield Fire Department or have questions about the services we provide, please contact us at 435-6807 or stop by the station at:

33 Catamount Rd.

Pittsfield, NH. 03263

You can make a difference in our community by taking a more active role.
