The Pittsfield Fire Department and Ambulance Service
takes our responsibility seriously. Our community is
protected by dedicated and committed emergency service
responders who do their job when called upon, regardless
of the time of day and in all kinds of weather. Saving
lives and property is not an easy task. We do it
willingly and often without recognition.
Volunteer firefighters and emergency medical services
providers are a special kind of people. We are
recruiting new volunteer members to help answer the call
of duty. Dedicated individuals are needed to be a part
of our team to respond to emergency calls for help.
As
our community grows, the number of emergency calls for
help increases. Today we respond to far more than fires
and vehicle crashes. When someone is having a heart
attack, we are there. We answer calls for anything from
hazardous materials incidents to sports injuries to
industrial accidents. We need volunteer members to help
our community.
