Beautiful Fall in Pittsfield

Pittsfield is a small rural community of about 4500 residents, located in Merrimack County, nestled in the Suncook Valley region of NH approx. 600' above sea level. Pittsfield is known for its beautiful landscape, farm land, country setting and the well-known Hot Air Balloon Festival that takes place every August.

The historic downtown village of Pittsfield offers a high school, elementary school, library, two grocery stores, two banks, restaurants, auto repair shops, a gas station, dentist office, post office, drug store, a hardware store, NH State Liquor Store and many other small businesses which service our residents. Click here for a list of local businesses that make Pittsfield a great place to live and work. Everything in the downtown village is within walking distance. Pittsfield is also home to Globe Manufacturing Company, LLC. Globe Manufacturing is a world leader in firefighter suit manufacturing and employs nearly 400 people. Globe Manufacturing has been in Pittsfield, NH since 1901.
